The October launch for me this year
involved one project. I was trying to take my very successful and
tough rocket The Wildman and make it a two stage. This weekend I
attempted a test flight. While mostly successful I made a rookie
mistake that had the booster coming in ballistic. Instead of
setting the altimeter for the booster to deploy at apogee I set it to
deploy at 500. Which would have been just fine except that I
jumpered the apogee connection which, when it fire took all of the juice
out of the capacitor. Ug! Repairs are underway. Launch

Overall the launch was cold at night
but perfect during the day. Lots of good friends both the regulars
and new ones came out for it. Pictures below!
