Wildman - Viper 54mm L Motor

As mentioned this way my first year flying motors I mixed and assembled myself.  Using Greg Deputy's Viper formula (and his garage, eq, help, know-how, etc.) we put together this single grain 54mm L-1225 motor with a total impulse of 3320 NS.  The flight was great!  Recovery was a challenge in that we lost site of the rocket and when tracking it discovered that Kent Newman was using the same frequency in Starsky & Hutch which was assembled but not yet flown.  We had to put off the hunt till that project launched.  In the mean time someone found my Wildman and returned it to camp.  It snapped the harness and damaged the avionics bay considerably but everything came back.  Altitude was 11764'.
