BALLS 16 - 2007 - Black Rock Desert, Nevada

This third trip to Black Rock for us marked a new milestone for my rocketry activities.  I was actually flying motors I had built!  With the help of Greg Deputy and his equipment, time, garage, chemicals, etc.  we built three motors, two of which I was able to fly this weekend!

The trip down and the playa of course are just beautiful!

Along the way we dodged cows, were escorted by a moose and also found Red a new car!

Some impressive launches and failures this year.  Here's a few I was able to catch.

My buddy Bob Yanecek had a nice setup and launch here and demonstrates his patented tracking system.

BALLS is also the great times with friends even when you have to battle the storms and the occasional attacking CH-47 helicopter.
